The Birth of DayFox:Q1:
Amaryllis, can you share the story behind the name DayFox and its significance to your family?Amaryllis: The nameDayFox
is a tribute to my grandparents, merging my father’s lineage — Day and Fox. It’s a reminder that we, as women, are always foxes and should always be able to feel our best! My family had great ideas but struggled to bring them to life.DayFoxemerged based on my experiences, skills, and my absolute determination to fix this problem after becoming a mother.

Q2: How did your personal discomfort inspire the creation of DayFox products?Amaryllis: Conventional robes were a source of discomfort due to moisture accumulation under the breast. As a new mom, this issue intensified during breastfeeding. The frustration led to the creation ofDayFoxproducts, addressing the discomfort and providing a solution for mothers like me.

Q3:
For women unfamiliar with this issue, can you explain why DayFox products are not only for new moms but for all women experiencing discomfort under their breasts?Amaryllis: Absolutely. Sweating under the breasts is a common issue for many women, not just new moms. It’s an experience that those who haven’t faced it may not understand. The inception of this product stems from years of personally grappling with the issue, often resorting to makeshift solutions like rolling up a towel. Conversations with other women revealed that I was not alone in seeking a solution for this common discomfort. After the birth of my child, I knew I was ready to move forward.

DayFoxproducts help eliminate the discomfort women feel when moisture and sweat, accumulate under their breast. Women have resorted to chemicals and other makeshift items to help alleviate their discomfort. Our innovative product absorbs and wicks away moisture from under the breast without using chemicals.

DayFox
products work for all women dealing with this problem, providing comfort whether at home or the spa. It is important that all women feel beautiful, comfortable and foxy.

Q4:
How does the name DayFox play into the brand’s mission and the experience you aim to create for women?Amaryllis:
DayFoxis not just a name; it’s a reminder of my heritage and a call to embrace our inner fox. It’s a tribute to my grandparents and a that every woman should always feel like a fox, confident and comfortable in her own skin.

Identifying the Market:Q5:
Amaryllis, how did you recognize the market potential for DayFox products, especially among breastfeeding moms?Amaryllis:Attending a women in business event was a turning point for me. I connected with three invaluable mentors who guided me in understanding our market. With 167 million women in America, targeting the 3.6 million new mothers annually, we aim to acquire 20% of breastfeeding women, yielding 200,000 customers annually.

Q6: Beyond breastfeeding moms, are there other market segments DayFox products cater to?Amaryllis:Yes. Our focus group revealed additional segments, such as women experiencing discomfort at spas. This insight fueled the expansion of our product line, including theDayFox
robe for home use and a nursing t-shirt for moms on the go.
