The Perfect Product?

Have you wondered if there’s such a thing as the “perfect product”? I’m not completely convinced but certain products come close.
When it comes to inventing, I’ve got a few rules I like to stick to. First off, keep it simple. The more straightforward, the better. Less stuff means less that can go wrong and less for the consumer to figure out. If it’s not electronic, even better! Less things to break.
Then there’s the issue of cost, an often forgotten piece of the puzzle. Opt for materials that won’t break the bank, and trust me, your future self negotiating manufacturing costs will thank you for it.
Let me share a little nugget from a talk I attended by the brilliant mind behind theScrub Daddyat theYoung Entrepreneurs Association of Philadelphia. How did his product become so wildly successful? It comes down to two things: universal need and ease of use. Oh, and it doesn’t hurt that it’s affordable to produce. You could say he hit the jackpot with the “perfect product.”
Now, don’t get me wrong; launching a business is still a rollercoaster that requires loads of effort, the right moves, cash flow, and a ton of resilience. Get ready to hear a lot of NO’s! But the founder of Scrub Dadddy knew he had something everyone needed, and you could say he HAS created the perfect product!
And here’s the best part— Scrub Daddy goes beyond and has a sustainability program too. They have an amazingrecycling rewards programthat turns foam into fuel. Creating a product that helps the environment is also the best way to be on the path to the perfect product. Consumers are eco-conscious and want to be sure they are making purchases that will help the environment’s long-term sustainability.
Now, go find your perfect product to invent or use this story as a guide to restructure a product you already have in mind. Cheers to the imperfectly perfect journey of invention!
